Welcome back to the first session on Control Phase. At Control Phase, you will study about how to sustain the improvement effort made on your process. It includes topics like Lean Control where you will study about the different types of lean tools to stabilize your process performance. At Defect Control you will study about the Boca Egg technique for your defect prevention and at Statistical Process Control you will study about the control chart analysis and identify whether your process is in control or not.
And Control Plan is totally about the documentation required for your six sigma project. So when we talk about the questions asked on lean controls are totally based on the application of tools like Fires methodology, Kombu and Kaiser Giroga technique total productive maintenance, Smid visual, factory standardized work value stream mapping, push and pull system, ETCA. So you need to aware about the topics like how to implement Fios in organization at each step, what you have to do when you are implementing Fios, what are the benefits of Fios.
Also, you are aware about the benefits of Visual Factory and standardized work after its implementation and which things you require during implementation of these lean tools. Also, what Kanban system control in your processes? What are the different types of Kanban Card system? What are the prerequisite required before implementing Kaizen? As Sexima Project is itself an example of Kaizen how these all lean tools are interdependent on each other when you are performing a process improvement project.

Welcome back to the second session on control phase. Here we will talk about statistical process control and control plan. So to prepare for this section, you need to have understanding about the purpose of SPC, whether it perform on input or on output. What are the different types of control charts used for control chart analysis? What are their application? When to use xbarr chart? When to use NP chart p chart like that. How to calculate control chart limits and center line for each type of charts manually. What is the meaning of rational subgrouping? How to form rational subgroups before control chart analysis. How to select data for your statistical process control. How to perform control chart analysis on continuous and attribute type of data. How to interpret the result of it, which are the different rules are used to interpret the control chart analysis? To detect the spatial causes? What is the difference between spatial and common type of causes?
So go through all these concepts and in Control phase, the most important tool is improvement selection matrix. This tool provides the best improvement solution out of the multiple option for your process improvement. And it will select this best solution on the basis of criteria, impact, cost and time. So understand these tools. How to use these tools for your best improvement solution selection. This tool works similar to the XY diagram on the basis of highest ranking. We will select the best improvement solution for our process improvement.
So go through these tools also and the next term is control plan. So here understand the elements of control plan. What is the purpose of training plan? What is the function of response plan? Where monitoring plan and implementation plan is required during your Six Sigma project? Who is responsible for each type of plan?
