1. About the exam

Now that you are done with this course, you are ready to go ahead and take the exam. So over here we are on the exam page. So over here, you can go ahead and schedule your exam. Here you have the price of the exam. If you go ahead and scroll down, you can actually go ahead and download the exam skills outline. So these are all the skills that are being measured as part of the exam. Now over here in another tab, this is information about the types of questions that you can actually get for the exam. Now, when it comes to the AI 900 exam, since this is just a beginner-level exam, there are some types of questions that you won’t get in this particular exam. So, for example, you will get questions based on the best answer, and you will get questions based on the bill list, so this could be possible. You will not get any sort of case study, so this will not be part of the exam.

You can certainly obtain drag-and-drop base questions. You can also get multiple-choice questions. You will not get these short answer questions, and you will not get any performance-based labs. So over here, this page actually gives you a very good idea of how the exam is structured, what types of questions you can actually get on the exam, and just a general feel for what the exam is all about. So if you are new to giving Microsoft-based exams, this is a good place to go ahead and go through these videos and see the different types of questions that actually come for the exam. Now again, when it comes to the scheduling of the exam, normally what I do is that I’ve been scheduling all my exams online, so there’s something that you can do.

So, if you schedule your exam with Pearson and don’t have a Microsoft account, you can use your existing account, which is based on a Microsoft account. So let me go ahead and just log in with my Microsoft account. So over here, you’ll get your dashboard. Now you can go ahead and scroll down and hit Continue. If you have any sort of discount available that will come up over here, then you can go ahead and hit the schedule exam, and then over here you have the choice of taking it at a local test center. However, I now take my exams online from the comfort of my own home. So over here, we can go ahead and choose that and hit Next.

Over here, you can go ahead and read all of the terms and conditions, and you can go ahead and then hit on Next. You can choose your preferred language, hit Next again, and choose the proctor. So now, before the exam actually starts on the exam date itself, So half an hour before the exam time, you have to go and basically log into your certification dashboard and start the exam. So there are some steps that you must take. So some of the steps basically involve taking your photo from your mobile phone. So there will be a link that will be provided to you. Via that link, you have to go ahead and take your photo. You have to also go ahead and take a photo of your surroundings just to make sure that you kind of have a clutter-free environment and don’t have too many things close to you. So that’s another thing that you have to do. You have to go ahead and also ensure that you take a photo of a government ID. This could be your driving licence or your ID card. So these are some things that you have to do prior to that.

After you go ahead with the check-in process, just before the exam starts, there could be a person on the other side that might need some more information from you. So that’s your tutor. So the proctor might go ahead and, let’s say, start a quick web chat with you. So the proctor might just ask for some further information if required. So let me go onto the next, and then over here, you can go ahead and choose the date. So if you go ahead and choose a date for your appointment over here, then you can go ahead and choose the time. Once you go ahead and choose the time, you can go ahead and proceed to the checkout, and then you can go ahead and actually make the payment. So it’s as simple as that. And then you’ll get an email on this Microsoft ID. So my Microsoft ID is based on a Gmail account. You’ll get an email that will give you all the details on how to check in. It’ll give you all the details, then go on to your certification dashboard. Remember, half an hour before your exam starts, please go ahead and go onto your certification dashboard. Go ahead and start your exam. Because I said there’s a process to be followed before the exam actually starts, I just want to give you some information on how you can go ahead and schedule your exam.
